Chi-Gean area is located at the western part of the kaohsiung city. Which is an isolated, long shaped island. The economic, cultural and educational background are totally different from the kaohsiung city. Therefore, Department of Ophthalmology of Kaohsiung Medical College Hospital had a series of refraction study on local adult people between Jan.1992 to Feb.1992.
The investigation divided into two parts. The first part investigate the satisfactory status of the local adult people, and also analyze the combined subjective complaints. The second part is to analyze the relationship between the refractive status and the aging process. All the above investigation datas are put into computer for biostatistics, and we get conclusions with several constructive suggestions for Taiwan ophthalmologists. |
